Ushra’khan (UNITY) turns 16 years old, the oldest living alliance in EVE. It was founded on 2004-11-25, when alliance were first permitted. UNITY is part of eternal struggle between the Minmatar and Amarrain empires, and many UNITY players role play as Minmatar. A history of the alliance can be found on the Backstage Lore wiki.
Their Amarrian rivals, Curatores Veritatis Alliance (CVA), is a two days younger, but CVA’s founding corp, The Legion of Spoon (TLOS), is the oldest living corp in EVE. TLOS are strict and only allow Amarrian characters to join. The corp only flies Amarrian ships.
