Main Subject

Main topics for CCP guests – discussing the development and deployment of the Invasion content system:

  • Open with Burger, discuss Invasion content from a top-down perspective, his vision for the content, comments regarding the development process
  • Move to Sledgehammer and Coyote
    • Discuss implementation of this content between chapters, iterations on methodology and changes to the long-term plan
    • Discuss potential for future use of technology developed and lessons learned
    • Discuss player response – what sort of engagement have you seen since implementation a few days ago?
  • Individual questions from hosts to all three guests

Chapter 3 Update – After main discussion if time allows, individual details may be covered during prior comments

As of the 26th, the long-awaited climax to the Triglavian invasion has commenced.

What do we know so far?

  • Similar to faction warfare where there is a progression of takeover of a system and the players influence one side or the other
  • Sides
    • Triglavian Collective vs. New Eden Common Defense Initiative (EDENCOM)
    • Standings will cause NPCs to aggress or remain neutral
    • Four tiered sites –
      • EDENCOM Forward Post/Emerging Conduit
      • EDENCOM Staging Area/Minor Conduit
      • EDENCOM Field Base/Major Conduit
      • Observatory Flashpoint (where you pick your side)

Completing sites as well as attacking roaming fleets will grant influence, other tasks as yet undiscovered may provide additional routes

  • System states
    • Stellar Reconnaissance and progression through the two middle states and the end-state for either side
      • First Liminality and Second Liminality followed by Final Liminality for Triglavians
      • EDENCOM Bastion and Bulwark followed by EDENCOM Fortress for the empire forces
    • Activities to perform in each state – the side with greater influence spawns more sites to be attacked, mining is available in friendly sites while guarded by friendly NPCs, more TBD as content rolls out?
    • Security status changes – Security status dropped from 0.6 to 0.3 in a First Liminality system, unknown on what scale this calculation is made or where this might progress to.

What has happened so far?

  • Triglavians won in a yellow sun system and… nothing happened.
    • CCP confirmed all was working as intended
  • Triglavians won in a blue sun system, and progressed the system into First Liminality, the first stage of pro-Triglavian progress.
    • Security index dropped from 0.6 to 0.3
    • CONCORD response suspended, flag behavior is as in low security space
    • All other mechanics remain unchanged – booshes, cynos not allowed
    • Kill rights are a defect scheduled to be resolved
  • Null Security logistics professionals had their jump freighter routes disrupted by
  • Certain groups have come out saying they will ensure Triglavian invaders capture key systems
    • SuitoniaToday at 2:09 PM
    • I want the triglavians to win and turn highsec to lowsec

What are the questions that need answering?

  • Will Final Liminality result in a complete lack of CONCORD presence and the commensurate 0.0 security rating?
  • What is the permanence of fully securing a system for either EDENCOM or Triglavian forces?
  • Will there be flux for a period of time before changes become truly and completely permanent?
  • What is your design intention with regard to jump freighter logistics to null sec? What is your design intention for blocking jump freighters?
